Essential work on trees
After the many ‘named storms’ this winter a number of the street trees were not looking too happy as they had been battered and bruised especially in exposed spots like the foot of Glasgow Street. Many trees had been blown over and were sitting at rather too jaunty an angle. A small group of Tree Trust volunteers turned out to do some essential work to try and get the trees better supported so that they might thrive again. You can see they are a happy bunch – although I’m not so keen on the colour scheme! Coffee after any work party is an essential maybe that’s why we call it an essential work party.
