Helensburgh is famous for its trees and the Helensburgh Tree Conservation Trust, Scotland have plans to plant even more as part of the Queens Platinum year.
The aim is to maintain existing trees, replace dead trees and plant new ones in new locations around the town. Volunteers are sought to help with occasional work parties that undertake minor maintenance works. The Trust’s Directors seek funding to plant new trees and aim to plant these trees in a planned manner so the maximum impact is achieved with minimal funds. They liaise with National advice agencies to obtain the best help available.
The Helensburgh Tree Trust are just one of approx 25 local groups and organisations who will be sharing their work and thoughts on improving specific aspects of life in Helensburgh and its surrounding areas.
As part of this, we’re running a survey to help influence the work we do, if you have a few mins spare please help us by completing the survey.
